  • Many clients feel stuck in cycles of stress, self-doubt, or unresolved pain that hold them back from living a fulfilling life. They may feel overwhelmed by emotions or uncertain about how to break free from these patterns.

I bring a warm, compassionate approach to therapy, creating a safe space where clients can feel fully supported in their journey. I use a blend of Internal Family Systems (IFS), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) to address each person’s unique experiences and needs. Together, we explore and work through difficult emotions, past traumas, and unhelpful thought patterns, with an emphasis on mindfulness and self-compassion.

My goal is to empower clients to reconnect with themselves, building resilience and self-acceptance along the way. Through our work, they gain the tools and insights needed to move forward with clarity, confidence, and a renewed sense of peace.

  • In today’s fast-paced world, couples often struggle to communicate their wants and needs. They get tripped up by assumptions, mind-reading, and unrealistic expectations - leading to misunderstandings and frustration. Additionally, individuals who have experienced trauma often face immense challenges in their journey toward self-love and trust. These experiences can lead to negative thoughts about themselves and their lives in general, making it difficult to move forward. Caregivers, too, face unique struggles as they tend to prioritize the needs of others while neglecting their own self-care, leading to burnout and a diminished quality of life.

I am dedicated to building a strong rapport with my clients and creating a safe, supportive space for them. I utilize a range of interventions tailored to each client's unique needs, including EMDR, Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, the Gottman Method, CBT, Humor, and IFS. The treatment I create for each client is based on their specific needs, wants, and the goals they aim to achieve. By combining different interventions, I help clients find the most effective path to healing and growth.

Clients can expect a tailored and empathetic approach to their unique challenges. Couples will experience improved communication and a deeper connection with their partners. Individuals dealing with trauma will find a renewed sense of self-worth and trust in others. Caregivers will discover effective ways to take care of themselves while continuing to provide support to those in need. I work on helping clients achieve their goals and their authentic cells, removing the obstacles that prevent them from being happy and successful according to their own definition of success.

Experience: I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and graduated from Lipscomb University with a degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. I have extensive experience with trauma through various professional roles and internships. Continuing education and building skills are important to me as a therapist, and I make a concerted effort to continuously expand my knowledge.

Client focus: Teen, adults, couples, and families.

Types of therapy: Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Narrative Therapy, The Gottman Method, Internal Family System, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy.

Issues: Anxiety, Anger, Depression, Relationship Issues, Self-esteem, and Self-care.

"As every therapist will tell you, healing involves discomfort. But so is refusing to heal. And over time, refusing to heal is always more painful". - Resmaa Menakem
